Canine Assisted
EMDR Intensive Therapy

Intensive, animal assisted therapy for faster healing

Do you feel like Canine Assisted therapy is a good fit for you, but can't make weekly sessions work for your schedule?

Maybe you only have a limited period of increased flexibility or time for therapy, and want to make the most of this.

You might want to just get into the therapy work, without having a weekly break in between sessions.

We can combine the healing power of a trained therapy dog, along with intensive EMDR therapy, to help you start feeling better, now.

Your EMDR Intensive Includes:

  1. Assessment Session

Pre-treatment assessment to identify 1) symptoms you are seeking relief from, 2) experiences that need processing 3) resources and skills you will need for EMDR processing.

3. Personalised treatment plan

A bespoke therapy plan to target your goals. Extended sessions of specialist Canine Assisted EMDR Therapy.

2. Treatment Workbook

Beyond the Clinic Room personalised EMDR workbook, which supports you to work on your therapy goals before, during, and after our intensive sessions.

4. Treatment Review

At the end of our intensive we will review therapy outcomes, discuss maintaining progress and any ongoing therapy needs.

Supported by Clinical Psychologist, Dr Charis Green, and Therapy Dog Bramble

The intensive package generally involves 3 half day sessions sessions across one week. Sessions are generally of 3 hours duration plus a break. Further options can be discussed.

The cost for this package is £1620

What else you might need: â€‹â€‹

  • An initial assessment session via zoom to understand your therapy needs and to assess suitability for an intensive (£140).

  • Follow up session/sessions to consolidate what you have gained and identify needs for further support.

Why Canine Assisted Therapy?

Coming to therapy can be daunting. It may be that these are things you haven't spoken about before, or still feel really hard to talk about.

Imagine coming to therapy and having the soft ears of a dog to stroke. A dog that you absolutely know accepts you for being you.

Maybe you already know the healing power of dogs in your own life. Or perhaps you are a dog lover, and can imagine the comfort of working alongside a dog in therapy.

A trained therapy dog can support you to feel safer, faster in your EMDR therapy journey.
